9th Grade Experience

To be honest, it wasn't as scary as I thought it'd be. Everyone is nice but it's harder to know everybody since there are so many more students compared to middle school. The teachers are harder on us since they're preparing us for college and PE is less games more work. I can tell the teachers and staff care about what's going to happen to us in the future. They take their job seriously and I look up to them for that. It's hard managing so many kids everyday, especially when some don't really care. Finals were nothing like the SBAC testing I had in middle school. Looking back, I regret the stuff I did in middle school because it's so easy compared to what I deal with now. I like that we get collab days and minimum days. It's always good to rub that in my little brother's face. Anyway, I'd like to thank my 9th grade teachers for all they have done for me. I probably spend more time with my teachers at school in class than with my family. Ther...

The teacher I appreciate.

The teacher I appreciate is Mrs. Sumi. Mrs. Sumi teaches biology, and that isn't my best subject. It might even be my worst subject. I struggled a lot in her class, I scored low on tests but she didn't see me any different than her A students. She treats everyone the same way and encourages us. She merges life with lessons so it's more entertaining for us. She told us that biology is in everyday life you just need to think about it. The atmosphere in the class is always friendly, like a family. She challenges us with work from her college textbooks. It's like she genuinely wants us to do well. The avatar I made doesn't really look like here but there weren't a lot of options. With the school year coming to an end, I'd like to thank her for all she's done for me and everyone else who feels the same way as I do.
